New Construction
Climate Resilient Technology for New Construction:
As global temperatures continue to escalate, the impacts are only beginning to surface and are far from reaching their peak. At the Paulele Hale Association (TPHA), we have moved beyond the warnings of a 1.5-degree Celsius increase—a threshold already surpassed in 2024. Now, pragmatism guides our response to what was once possible and is now probable.
TPHA’s innovative collective has dedicated years to confronting severe climatic challenges that threaten over 37 million households in expanding risk zones, including areas prone to wildfires, floods, winds, and droughts. Our evaluations span both new constructions and home remodeling, with solutions tailored to each category of risk.
Our pre-approved home plans are designed to withstand extreme conditions: they resist wildfires with temperatures up to 1200 degrees for an hour and can endure wind and seismic forces up to 150 mph. We incorporate water generation systems capable of producing up to 300 gallons per day for backup or primary use. Our homes’ thermal envelopes reject 95% of the sun’s heat, significantly enhancing energy efficiency.
TPHA’s expanding catalog of housing solutions—encompassing both single and multi-family homes—features structures that can be constructed for a third less cost than traditional methods, thanks to our use of factory-produced structural components and rapid on-site assembly, which reduces build times from months to weeks.
We collaborate with builders and architects to integrate our climate-resilient technology standards into their projects. For developers, we offer complete plans for sustainable communities. Homes built with our technology not only withstand harsh climates but also enjoy insurance discounts as engineered structures, making them particularly suitable for urban wildfire zones and coastal areas.
