Weathering the Future: A Thanksgiving Message from Future Proof

This Thanksgiving, we’re taking a moment to reflect on the journey that brought us here and the people who made it possible.

Where We Started

Future Proof was born from The Paulele Housing Association (TPHA), a Hawaiian non-profit founded to address Hawai’i’s affordable housing crisis and promote disaster-resilient communities. TPHA built an educational AI platform that evolved into something bigger. That platform became Future Proof, a public benefit company bringing the same mission to communities across the mainland United States.

Where We Are Now

We’ve just been nominated for the Ivory Prize, an award recognizing organizations building scalable solutions to America’s housing affordability crisis.

Magic Window, our flagship app, is live in both the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. It’s helping homeowners across the country understand their property’s extreme weather risks and find actionable solutions to protect their homes.

We’re seeking growth capital through our Regulation Crowdfunding offering on Netcapital, inviting people who believe in our mission to join us in building weather-smart America.

And we’re preparing a major showcase at the NAHB International Builders’ Show in Orlando, Florida, in early 2026, where we’ll connect with construction professionals who share our commitment to building homes that can withstand what’s coming.

In 2024 alone, 27 separate billion-dollar disasters caused $182 billion in damages. Insurance premiums have surged 82% in high-risk areas. Families are being dropped by insurers or priced out of coverage entirely. The old ways aren’t working anymore. We are grateful to be working toward meaningful goals that will ultimately make a positive impact in our communities.

What We’re Grateful For

We’re thankful for TPHA’s vision. Their work created the foundation we stand on, rooted in the values of community care and sustainable housing that continue to guide us.

We’re grateful for our team. The engineers, the advisors, the believers who show up every day to build technology that gives homeowners tools to protect their homes. The long hours matter. The problem-solving matters. The work matters.

And we’re thankful for the opportunity itself. Not every company gets to do work that actually helps people. We’re building solutions for families who need homes that can withstand what’s coming. That means something.
